The driving force behind Tournament Golf is Jim Felten. A 1979 graduate of the renowned Turfgrass Science program at Michigan State, Jim has worked his way up from a night waterman in 1973 to become the principal of Tournament Golf.
Jim has done construction and consulting work on courses in 15 states including Hawaii and internationally. He has done prep work for four majors: a Masters, a US Open, and two PGA Championships.
Jim Felten of Tournament Golf has been involved with 12 courses on Golf Digest's Top 100 Lists with some of the best architects and players in the industry. In addition, three more courses have been recognized as top ten best new courses in Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. Jim has also been involved with the PGA TOUR on four Tournament Players Clubs.
